On 24 August 2017 Teresa attended a seminar of Otago Property Investors Association on valuing rental properties. Ah-lek Tay, a Dunedin valuer, presented a summary of the valuation approach for rental properties in Dunedin. He discussed the issues for valuing rental properties including studio properties and student properties. He also answered questions about how capital gains tax, changes in the University and education environment may have impact on future prices. Plenty of interesting questions from the audience.
